"Top Picks of Racine County" Contest Rules

1. Eligibility

  • The "Top Picks of Racine County" contest (the “Contest”) is open only to residents of Racine County, Wisconsin, aged 18 years or older, and businesses physically located within Racine County.
  • Employees of Racine County Eye, its affiliates, subsidiaries, and advertising/promotion agencies, as well as the immediate family members and household members of each, are not eligible to participate.

2. Entry Period

  • The Contest entry period begins on November 7, 2024 and ends on November 30, 2024 (“Entry Period”). Entries received outside this period will not be considered.

3. How to Enter

  • Participants may submit their nominations via the official entry form on Racine County Eye’s website between November 7 and November 14, 2024. Each individual or business can only enter once per category.
  • All entries must be complete, accurate, and in compliance with these Rules to be eligible.

4. Voting

  • Voting will take place from November 23, 2024, to November 30, 2024. Participants are allowed to vote once per day per category.
  • Any attempts to tamper with or manipulate voting, including using bots or multiple accounts, will result in disqualification of the entry.

5. Categories

The Contest includes the following categories:

  • Holiday
  • Best Holiday Light Display
  • Best Local Shop for Holiday Gifts
  • Best Family-Friendly Holiday Event
  • Best Bakery for Holiday Treats
  • Wellness
  • Best Local Spa or Wellness Center
  • Best Fitness Studio for Staying Active
  • Best Personal Trainer
  • Automotive
  • Best Place for Winter Car Maintenance
  • Best Car Wash for Winter Prep
  • Best Auto Repair Shop for Winter Services

Racine County Eye reserves the right to modify or remove categories without prior notice.

6. Advertising Pitches

  • Advertising pitches for category winners and participants will take place from November 15 to November 22, 2024.

7. Prizes

  • Winners of each category will receive recognition on the Racine County Eye website and social media. Additional prizes or promotional opportunities may be offered at Racine County Eye’s discretion.
  • Prizes are non-transferable and may not be substituted for cash or any other items.

8. Announcement of Winners

  • Winners will be announced on December 1, 2024, via the Racine County Eye website and social media channels.
  • Winners will also be notified directly via the contact information provided at entry.

9. General Conditions

  • Racine County Eye reserves the right to disqualify any entry or participant that violates these Rules or engages in any conduct that is deemed harmful or inappropriate.
  • Racine County Eye is not responsible for any errors, technical failures, or other issues that may interfere with the entry, voting, or winner announcement process.

10. Limitation of Liability

  • By entering, participants agree to release and hold harmless Racine County Eye and its affiliates from any liability or claims arising from or related to participation in the Contest or acceptance of any prize.

11. Publicity Rights

  • By accepting a prize, winners grant Racine County Eye the right to use their name, image, and business name for promotional purposes in connection with the Contest without additional compensation.

12. Privacy

  • Personal information collected for the Contest will be used solely for the purpose of administering the Contest and in accordance with Racine County Eye’s Privacy Policy. [Link to Privacy Policy]

13. Governing Law

  • The Contest is governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, and any disputes will be resolved in the courts located within the state.
